Description
Unasco Yellow Gas Seal Tape is a high-density PTFE thread seal tape designed for natural gas lines, gas fittings, and threaded gas connections. Its thick, full-density construction helps create a dependable seal while using less tape than lower-density alternatives.
Unlike many stretched thread seal tapes, Unasco Yellow Gas Seal Tape retains its full density during manufacturing. This reduces porosity and helps prevent shredding, stringing, and excess tape waste, making installation cleaner and easier.
Widely used throughout the gas industry, this yellow Teflon gas tape is approved by relevant authorities and colour-coded for quick identification by gas fitters, technicians, and inspectors.

Applications
Applications
Unasco Yellow Gas Seal Tape is manufactured from Teflon.
Teflon PTFE resin is a polymer consisting of recurring tetrafluoroethylene monomers whose formula is (CF2 - CF2)n. It is one of the most inert substances known.
Therefore, it is compatible with a very wide range of materials.
It can be used on pipe made from galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, CPVC, ABS and fibreglass.
It can also be used on pipes carrying the following materials:
- Acids, concentrated
- Acids, dilute
- Air, compressed
- Alcohols
- Aliphatic solvents
- Ammonia, liquid
- Aromatic solvents
- Caustics, concentrated
