Highfield #6 Series Universal Barrel Lock & Key System Overview
The #6 Barrel Lock and Key System provides a smooth plunger design and heavy spring for pick resistance.
In addition to the optional stainless steel construction, this universal barrel lock and key system also meets the interchangeability requirements with other manufacturers' lock and keys.
Designed for all four utilities but most commonly used by electric utilities, the #6 Lock System is a smart and reliable investment.
The #6 lock and key meets the interchangeability requirements with the three other barrel lock manufacturers.
#6 Universal Barrel Lock & Key System is interchangeable with:
- Inner-Tite’s Anker Series
- DeWalch’s standard or D Series
- Brooks “F” Series
How to Engage & Release the #6 Lock Series
To engage the lock, you simply push the key into the barrel lock and then push the lever down to retract the balls and push the lock all the way in.
Once it is inserted all the way into the ring or guard, you can pull the lever back up and remove the key. The #6 key also opens the #4 lock.
Engaging the #6 Barrel Lock & Key System:
- Push the key into the barrel lock
- Push the lever down to retract the balls
- Push the lock all the way in
Releasing the #6 Barrel Lock & Key System:
- Lock must be inserted all the way into the ring or guard
- Pull lever back up
- Remove the key
