Description
The NeoR is a double stage gas pressure regulator by Pietro Fiorentini. Designed to ensure continuous gas supply while maintaining a high level of safety with reduced emission. The NeoR is a service regulator without slam-shut device, incorporating a double token relief valve (IRV) with partial capacity. It is particularly suitable for low pressure natural gas distribution systems for commercial and residential users. It should be used with previously filtered non-corrosive gases including biomethane and RNG (Renewable Natural Gas). The NeoR is Hydrogen Ready for NG-H2 blending.

Why Choose the Pietro Fiorentini NeoR Pressure Regulator
Why Choose the Pietro Fiorentini NeoR Pressure Regulator
Value Elements
- Reliable Service Line Pressure Control
- Designed for low-pressure natural gas distribution serving residential and small commercial customers.
- Supports steady outlet pressure across common service regulator applications.
- Available in capacity options up to 1400 scfh, helping Canadian utilities match the regulator to the actual customer load.
- Reduced Venting Compared to Conventional Relief Designs
- NeoR is designed to reduce gas emissions during overpressure events.
- Its partial relief approach helps limit unnecessary full-capacity venting.
- A strong fit for Canadian gas utilities looking to improve safety while supporting lower-emission distribution practices.
- Built for Canadian Outdoor Installations
- Suitable for outdoor meter set applications where weather exposure and long-term durability matter.
- Arctic version supports operation in colder environments, making it relevant for Canadian winter conditions.
- Aluminum body construction helps keep the regulator compact and lightweight for field installation.
- Added Protection for Field Reliability
- Built-in strainer helps protect the regulator from debris such as weld slag or PE shavings during new installations.
- Optional thermal valve can shut off inlet gas flow during excessive ambient temperature events.
- Useful for utilities that want added protection at the customer service point without adding unnecessary equipment.
Comparison vs. Next Best Alternative
- Better Emissions Profile Than a Conventional Service Regulator
- Compared with conventional full-relief regulator designs, NeoR helps reduce vented gas during certain failure conditions.
- This is valuable for Canadian utilities focused on methane reduction, safety, and responsible gas distribution operations.
- The design supports overpressure protection without relying on a slam-shut device or full-capacity internal relief valve.
- More Practical Than Larger Station-Style Regulation
- NeoR is better suited for residential and small commercial service loads that do not require high-capacity station equipment.
- Helps reduce installation footprint and keeps the regulator matched to the customer application.
- A practical choice for utilities standardizing service regulator installations across many sites.
- More Field Flexibility Than a Basic Service Regulator
- Supports in-line or 90° configurations for different meter set layouts.
- Available for common NPT service connections, with additional configuration flexibility depending on the application.
- Helps simplify new installations, replacements, and service regulator standardization.
Where Do I Use This Product and Why?
- Residential Natural Gas Services
- Use NeoR on residential service lines where dependable outlet pressure is required at the customer meter set.
- Ideal for Canadian outdoor installations where compact size, cold-weather performance, and reduced venting are important.
- Small Commercial Gas Loads
- Suitable for small commercial customers with moderate gas demand.
- Capacity options up to 1400 scfh allow utilities to select a regulator that fits the load without oversizing the equipment.
- Utility Replacement Programs
- Use NeoR for regulator replacement work where a utility wants improved field flexibility and reduced venting performance.
- A good option for standardizing service regulators across similar residential and light commercial applications.
- RNG and Future Gas Network Applications
- Suitable for filtered, non-corrosive gases including biomethane and renewable natural gas.
- Hydrogen blending compatibility helps support Canadian utilities planning for lower-carbon gas networks.
