CU TFN & TFFN Tracer Wire

TFN or TFFN Tracer Wire is composed of a dead soft annealed copper conductor. Copper conductors utilize a UNS C10200 grade copper that is oxygen free and is drawn down from copper rod.

Insulation
The insulation material is a tough heat and moisture resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC), over which a nylon (polyamide) or UL-Listed equal jacket is applied. Available in black, white, red, blue, green, yellow, brown, orange, and gray.

Print
Insulation print applied to the insulation surface to repeat at a minimum interval of every foot. Ink color will include black ink for yellow, blue, green, red, orange and green insulation, and white ink for black insulation.

Applications

  • TFN or TFFN Tracer Wire is primarily used in low voltage applications up to 600 volts for locating buried gas, water, sewer, electric and telephone lines in comercial, industrial or residential applications. When used as type TFN or TFFN, conductor is suitable for use in dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C. Voltage rating for TFN or TFFN applications is 600 volts.
